ICPress is fully open source. We are deeply committed to transparency, community contribution, and the freedom to self-host. Anyone can read our code, propose improvements, report issues, or fork the project and run their own instance of ICPress on their own infrastructure.
We believe that a platform committed to free speech should itself be open — so no single organisation can ever control or censor it.

Language Versions
ICPress currently operates its main platform in English. We are actively working toward hosting individual language versions of ICPress so that communities everywhere can have a local-language home for their journalism. Our Story
Why ICPress Was Created
ICPress was created by Senad Matuh Delic out of a deep conviction that humanity cannot flourish without broad access to information. In an age where news ages within hours, too much critical knowledge remains trapped within close circles — shared among a privileged few rather than the public who need it most.
The platform is operated by StoryPop AB, a company registered in Sweden.
ICPress is an open-source publishing platform operated as a for-profit media company with cooperative-style contributor ownership. Anyone can report, investigate, and publish. Contributors earn platform rewards based on the reach and impact of their work, helping align the growth of the platform with the people creating its content.
Unlike traditional media companies, ICPress is designed to share long-term value with contributors. A significant portion of the company's reward structure is reserved for community participation through Stakeholder Tokens (SSTK), which are distributed to contributors on the platform.
The platform combines open participation with a conventional corporate structure, allowing both contributors and outside investors to participate in the company's future. This hybrid model aims to balance independent publishing, sustainable growth, and long-term contributor incentives.
Mechanisms for governance, distributions, and future equity participation are evolving over time, but the foundational contributor reward structure is already defined in the company charter and related governing agreements.

Senad built ICPress with the belief that information in the modern world ages fast and is often siloed within close circles, he set out to create a platform where anyone can create and share professional news articles — with the help of AI and peer review — making high-quality journalism truly accessible to all.
